Lost and Found
Words found me lost,
And at once brought me home,
So pain would not accost
Me at any place that I roam.
For an outlet I searched,
To take the pain away,
But the power 'nside me sat perched,
On the hand that turned night to day.
My feelings, outpoured,
From thoughts to words on a page,
Hoping they'll be adored,
And save the bird from it's cage.
Never did I fathom,
That in word's power I'd find solace,
But my Muses, I have them,
And we care not what they call us.
