Lost

In elementary school I had so many friends.

Nobody cared what you looked like

or the clothes you wore.

But now that I'm older and high school is here,

there's judgement all around.

I used to be so confident,

and I thought that would always be true.

But now I'm not so sure;

anxiety has taken over me.

I used to be like a tree,

firm in where I stand.

Now I'm like a dandelion,

drifting in the wind.

Now I'm lost.

Parts of me are everywhere.

I've lost my sense of direction.
