Loss of Future

The Sea of Tears shines bright in fallen night

When love is lost and hate is found again

The Needle kills the man where he has lain

The loss of all that is promised and bright

Consumed with rage and without pain, delight

Mocked by the real and sane the tide does rain

Upon the sand and in the eye remain

A horrid gleam of addiction and loss

Oh mournful tale common and destroying

Must all give into the fake and unsound?

The words are false the sound is too cloying

So weep for the lost but more for the found.
