Look At Her

I search for something to pull me into reality

I long for the things which keep me grounded

Constantly having to battle my thoughts

my fears

my insecurities

but then I can turn to words

Words that personify my hardships

making the demons, which bellow for acknowledgement,

silent

calm

and tamed

These words inspire me to speak my truth

to scream about injustices

to fight the system

to create a better world for all.

The magical words can bounce around me like they are celebrating a midsummers harvest

they show me the light

the beauty

the grace of the world

I use these secret weapons to remind myself

that I am the future

I decide my fate

and I will do so one

word

at

time

So look at her

look at how she can sparkle

even in the dark

she is my inspiration
