Shuffling past, weight too much to bare
Somedays it really gets to me, knowing that no one cares
But then through those gray skies, something beautiful appears
That keeps me smiling through all the tears
To know there is a future beyond this mess
And that there is a safe place somewhere to rest
That when I get there there will be no more pain
No more loss no more sorrow pushing on through the rain
I stand tall for I know I will conquer this night.
To stand and to fight.
Shuffling forward endlessly in the cold,
Hoping yours was a hand I could hold.
