Long Distance Love

So many lands lie between you and I,
It takes a thousand miles to be at your side,
Everyday I stand at my roof top and stare out,
out into the the distance as if I could see from there,
Yet the earth itself gets in the way of me seeing you,
Every Kilometer multiplies my desire to be with you
My love is so vast that it could reach out to you
How I wish I were a bird to fly to you,
Or a cheetah and run right into your arms,
How I wish I could simply jump into the computer and let it e-mail me to you,
But destiny has placed us in separate lives, separate communities, and separate nations,
yet I refused to give up on our love that has come so far
Many lose trust, many get lonely, they no longer can wait, they give up,
Will you?
