Lonely For Awhile

She was awoken from

the depths of the coldest dreams.

Her wings were weighed down by

the chains of her own making.

She sent herself into a deep sleep

She was sure she would never wake.

But

Someone woke her up again

One more time!

She was made to last forever

treated like some, like some

monster

It wasn't her fault,

nor was it the fault of the one

who pulled her from the dreams.

She was Angry

It was worse to be awake now

she had been around for centuries

Older than the moutain she was under

She created it! Gave it a name!

She was reminded of this as she was yanked away

from it's delicate heart

And her name wispers on the wind as she sees the light of day again.

And she hears all of her old friends.

And they say to her:

Calm down, now

you little thing

you wish for the peace

you try to bring.

Stop looking for fire, and for us,

stop searching.

If you want to  look for us,

We dwell in the earth that clings to the soles

of you boots,

and you will find us in

the light of the moon.

And she cried silently that it hurt more to be awake

than to sleep forever in the deepest roots

of the Willow Tree.

And they said to her,

It's your fault it hurts

because you choose

to be lonely.

So become friends with the moon

For it's where we dwell.

And when all was said and done and

She returned once again to

the moutain that made her home.

Her friends would appear to her

Through the light of the moon

and she would fly with them

During that cold night.

And even though she knows

they can't really be there,

their spirit's were,

She still dances in the sight of the moon
