Loneliness

Sat, 08/24/2013 - 17:25 -- AB342

Amidst the winter afternoon, there lies a lonely soul

Awakened only by the soft whispers of the wind

Looking out expressionless into that cold, forgotten land

Where innocence had been tainted and replaced with hatred and fear

Where hearts were mended, only to be shattered again

The only company that remains is the falling snow and the heavenly stars
