LONELINESS

Mon, 10/19/2020 - 13:28 -- KayK

When I thought of the loneliness

In a kingdom full of insecurities

Once I sat engaged and soling

Once upon a midnight splendid

By the grave I saw the pangs

Deep into that darkness tapping

I awoke and flung the claustrophobia

Chuckled I, 'Yes loneliness!'

Loneliness - tormentor of my dreams

I awoke and flung the ennui

Deep into that darkness waiting

I heard a happy, lonely sorrowing

Once upon a midnight longing

'Loneliness!' said I, 'thing of melancholy.'

Much I marvelled the sole forlornness
