Lizzy (the end)

Tue, 09/25/2012 - 11:16 -- Griff91

My one true love stands before me,
She says she can’t be with me anymore,
That we shouldn’t feel the way we feel.

People have always told us this love is wrong,
Now here she is believing their every word,
And breaking my tender heart.

I wipe away her tears,
Lizzy holds my hand to her face,
I tell her my feelings will never change.

She closes her eyes,
Shakes her head,
She steps away from me.

She says goodbye,
Then my Lizzy is gone,
In more ways than one.

I fall to my knees,
I’m blinded by tears,
My heart torn to pieces.

I am hurt and broken,
There is but one thing that can fix me,
And she never will.

My beloved Lizzy,
I will see you everyday when I close my eyes,
But you will never again see me.

I actually cried when I wrote this. But I just couldn't stop writing it. It felt right for some reason. And this is actually the poem I wrote before their begining.
