Living Landscape

Man-made blemishes on earths face

lost appreciation for open space

tainted waters, a polluted trace

leading to a polluting race

selfish motive it's not our place

to take what's living and deface

breathing landscape a giving tree

ungrateful tenants who cannot see

deserve a planetary decree

that grants them sight of what will be

if ignorance overpowers the subtle plea

a blurred future and clouded judgement

what is taken for granted no longer abundant

inspired initiative the only hope

to heal and fix what's already broke

or be wiped from earth, one clean stroke
