Live with hazel eyes

by Jay Echo

I never said I was the realist

Just an idealist

Nonchalant coherence

I hope you can hear this.

I’m about to deal this

Make sure you feel this

Parts that im peelin

Heart to heart I real in

Fish with no gills and

Water distillted

Like emotions tears of pain are flowin

Im goin im floatin like the ocean

Im mopin im holdin, on to this dream.

What you mean? I had it since I was just 13.

A fiend and not a friend,

So to the end I might as well not pretend

And try to just make amends.

You got a choice;

To make noise

Or hear every word that comes outa my mouth

But not my voice.

My words are moist

I say it to the girls and boys,

Stop playin with a woman’s heart like they’re baby toys.

That’s wet. Im the freezer straight chillin’em

Not in my kitchen or nah I aint feelin’em

Im killin’em

To get to your heart you artichoke im peelin’em

Like the chance of the cards, if your playin im dealin’em

I riddled them

I’ll never belittlem

Aquitted’em

Hitted’em like shoyuken and finished ‘em

But your 1-hit K.O.’s they finished me

Constant denials acquitted me

Microaggressional quotes belittled me.

The words that got to my heart they’re still peelin me.

You feelin me?

I got a big dream for a little peace.

From California way to the Middle East.

Just a food for your soul, a little feast

Tats how far I would go to be a little beast.

But that’s for your surprise

What my heart does comprise

If you look at life through these hazel eyes,

And I will arise and give you a gift

Of words that are so sweet they come from these lips.

They’re not to offend

Or even pretend.

But that’s the question.

The question is when?

The thing about ending is when to begin.

When will we stop hatin and learn to befriend?

When will we not fight and think from within?

When will we not strive to hurt and offend?

When will we stop bein boys and learn to be men?

If you didn’t hear it right ill say it again.

When will we stop bein boys and learn to be men?

Cause the pain of my people are written in pen.

The ink blood stains im tryina converse

Are the very same words that hurt the worst.

To all of my people both young and diverse.

Every shape and size that’s born on this earth.

They’re all my people my voice does project,

And all of their voices I try to protect.

So how would you feel if you had hazel eyes?

Incognito not one of the guys.

Different from your family your face is disguised

Everyone tells you, your eyes are a prize.

But deep down within you feel ugly inside.

What keeps you from them is how they’re deprived.

What im sayin is…

We all have hazel eyes we all have flaws,

But those are the traits that make us raw.

We are kings and queens but not above the law.
If we stand together we cannot fall.

We are a wall and my poetry built it.

Impure water now distillted.

Only that real shit.

The heat of battle was alive when I chilled it.

I straight up just filled it.

I say this to yall because yall are not children

That’s one in a million or billions or trillions

Like a journey to Plymouth Rock yall are my pilgrims

Cry Rivers of blood cause Band-Aids can’t heal them

My words so appealin you thought I would steal them

Spittin bars of gold call me Rumplstilskin

My words are so rich call me Paris Hilton

My voice is so smooth Trey Songs in the buildin

I look into space you see me concealin

I stay in my place you don’t see me killin

Under the influence you don’t see me dealin

I am a great friend like Goku and Krillin

You say that I’m chill I say that I’m trillin

I never turn down turn up to the ceilin

LMFAO you see me shufflin

I say it like that typa way you be feelin

My people are sick I am penicillin.
