Little Things in Life

Have you ever stopped to look
At a simple, little brook?
It curls and twists,
And gives off mist.

Have you ever smelled a rose,
Standing in a silent pose.
Dancing lightly in the breeze,
Beautiful with ease.

Have you ever stopped to think,
About rain and its tink,
As it hits the world below,
With its clouds in tow.

Look around, see the things around you.
The grass so green, the sky so blue.
There are many things you miss,
In your ignorant bliss.

Life is full of little things,
You need to wonder ‘bout who sings,
In the whispers of the trees,
In the waves of the seas.

Enjoy them all, every one,
Before each day is done.
Breathe in deep, each breath.
And drown out all the rest.
