Little Red Riding Hood

Wed, 08/30/2017 - 10:19 -- MDaise

Cautious steps in the woods

Little red shoes tip-toe

Humming a little song to yourself

Be careful, don’t let them see

You have to be brave, like mother would

Keep your basket close, be swift, be quick

Grandmother is waiting on you to bring her food

So be careful, don't let them see

Draw your cloak tight around your body

And hide your dark hair with your hood

It’s a bright red, the color of cherries

Please be careful, don't let them see

They are like wolves

Eager to feast on your flesh

Snarling and foaming at the mouth

Cold hearted killing machines

So be careful, don't let them see

They have red eyes and matted black fur

Vicious animals -they show no mercy

You're all alone in the dark woods

No lamp, only a basket of bread

So be careful, don't let them see

They're getting closer to you now

Can you feel their sour breath?

Can you feel their hot breath?

Can you feel their teeth

snapping at your feet?

Oh be careful, don't let them see

You're almost at the end of the woods

But they are ready to pounce

Don't you see them?

Don't you hear them?

Be careful don't let them see

It's too late for you little red riding hood

They pounced and you met your end

That beautiful cloak is now crimson red

You weren't careful, you let them see
