A Little Light

If I could change but just one thing,

I’d repress man’s drive to be a king,

For there is something greater than any need to be adored,

If our apathy is our souls poison,

Then a little light must be our surgeon,

For there is something grander than any love I’ve seen before!

So, this much I now know,

Is there's refraction of my soul,

Because I bend and change when I breach new walls.

Thus, this leads me to believe,

That there must be a light in me,

A longing that that lives deep inside my soul.

Yes, I contended once before,

But convicted by the sun and shore

And all the vast things that I will never know.

Yes, I contend once before,

But I’m convicted by my need for more

And all the vast things that a little light can show.
