Little Inspirations

Discovering a misspelled word in your favorite novel

And smiling,

Because nothing is perfect.

Watching wildflowers escape through dry brush,

Pushing into the sun,

Living in a ditch,

And still growing upwards.

When rain falls on children,

A recess outside spent,

Not wasted,

Returning earthworms to the grass.

Waiting anxiously behind clouds,

The sun who never fails to appear.
