Little Boys

The games that little boys play
give them the strength to conquer
that naive drive
they have inside
comes out strong, i’m sure.

then as a boy gets older
he gets conditioned to his fears.
if only we can all stay little boys,
running, jumping and playing around
climbing, crawling and falling down —
only to get right back up.

maybe his determination is so strong
because he doesn’t care,
if we could only be that little boy
and not shed a single tear.

run around little boy and play your games
enjoy yourself while you can,
the life ahead may be no game
the world’s in your hands little man.

for you’ll make the changes
and you’ll set the scene
for the new little men of the world.

so remember the strength that you once had
when you were a little tyke,
and when the world falls down
you’ll forget your frown
and fight back with all your might.
