The impact you would make on my life.

Six, maybe seven years later
If only you knew that I wouldn't understand

It until maybe a year ago.
Who would have guessed, that three little words,
"I Can't Read"
During a third a grade test

Would have such a powerful impact on my young life.
Rather than reading you the words,

I taught you how.

That at that age… you were not alone.
If only you knew.
If only you knew that, you would encourage me

To sub as a teacher a few years later.
If only you knew

The impact a few hundred kids like you

Would have on me.
And the love that I have for you all.
