Listen

Location

Listen to me,

though my words may be insignificant to you.

Listen as though your breath would halt

  if you refused.

I was once caged,

caged inside the steal box of my imperfections.

Never daring to peer out into the world of promise,

  the world of possibilities.

So still, I am confined.

Now,

  cage and chains broken.

I have risen,

  and I will rise.

LISTEN TO ME NOW!

For I am not the one who is contained and controlled now.

I mean more now,

   I mean something.

Listen.
