They say that your past defines your present
If there is truth in this statement then I am sorry
I can never belong to you
Because my present state is a man of steel
A man of iron
A man formed of adamantine cables
I am Hard
Strong
and closed off
My past experiences have made me the being that I am
A Being that kneels under the pressure and the weight of his binding links
I have no thought any more
I am not human
A human consists of blood and flesh and organs that sustain life
My body has been so tied down with this metal that it has sank into the flesh that once sat there
IT consumed my innards until they too were plated with this heavy burden
Still it added until the skin became rough and arched like the thick metal.
My rind became cold and rough as the links finally burst through the remainder of the flesh I had
Then changed all my features that I once had to a trapped state of toughness
I have tried to destroy these links but their strength exceeds that of my absent muscles
