Lingering Feelings

Lingering Feelings

Your smell still on the blanket sheets,

A mark of the nights we shared.

Your voice still echoing in my head,

Like an unforgettable tune.

Your taste still on my lips,

Something I wish to wipe away.

But you somehow always stay.

I want these memories to be gone,

Deleted,

Erased.

But they never will be.

You were my first time,

A new feel.

The heat

Of your body on top of mine.

The scent

Of your perfume.

All of these things

Imprinted in my mind,

Like a stamp on a postcard,

Except this can't be sent away.

This stays.
