lines 2

Proverbs 13:22

22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

Drawing lines in the sand ... using a permanent marker

The color selectively chosen to show my frame of mind

Thinking this will last forever or at least for my lifetime

To be carved and frozen for generations there to find

We all will leave a legacy ... mostly dried out in the heat

Flesh and bone will disappear ... only by few remembered

A picture here and there to be discarded in the future

By the ones who did not know about this lost family member

Where did all go in this parade as some flags draw attention

as they are carried on while a band plays profusely?

Many nameless facets smiling in their emptiness

Putting up a show that covers thinly the surface strangely
