Lilly and the Lion

Location

When Lilly met the lion, he was just a little thing.

Completely unsupecting all the love that she would bring.

Two outcasts in the world they loved, entirely different beings,

but hearts and minds so similar, they understood their feelings.

And just one touch is all it took to put them both at peace,

a feeling all to foreign, to these small and cautious beasts.

The lion loved to see the girl, and the girl did love the lion,

but worlds apart, these friends did know, that birds were meant for flying.

And when the lion laid to rest, she shed a single tear,

He never loved another girl in all his lonely years.

When Lilly met the lion, she found a lifelong friend.

When lion met the tiger, he loved her to the end.
