The Light of a Pencil

It swallows you up in a whirlwind of fear,
Presses on your lungs,
And pushes out all importance from your life

When the darkness enters your life,
It becomes your life.
Depression is a darkness that seeps into every crack
And fills everything up until there is nothing left

But your pencil is a match
That explodes into rays of life on paper.
Words latch together to form a light
That crashes through the darkness

My poetry may not be poetic genius
It doesn't have rhymes, rhythms, and symbolisms
But my poetry
Is my light
