Light in the Dark

The darkness descends.

Hello, my friend.

Hisssssss.

Remember the pain, remember the lies,

Remember the feelings you disguise.

Terrifying cold, the biting steel

Running red so you can feel.

Roaring darkness speak softly.

A little light shines through.

Who are you?

Please.

Remember the joy, remember the life,

Blow away the pain and strife.

Open your heart, drive the cold away

Just to live another day.

Quiet little light, speak louder.

Find your way.

For you, I pray.

Remember you're loved, don't listen to the lie,

You are amazing and you can fly.

The world can be a cold, dark place,

But please put a smile on your beautiful face.
