Light

Thu, 10/19/2017 - 09:53 -- ymoyao

Through clouds of smoke
And stormy nights,
There stands a girl holding a fire,
Her hands burn as she holds,
It still.
Shes crying, unable to stop

But she smiles.
Smiles for she deems it worth it,
To stop the monsters lurking.
Clawing and snapping,
Rumbling,
Threatening to break through.
All that keeps it still is light

As bright as a star.
The moon itself shying away,
The passion and determination,
She stands still
Taking the pain as the fire consumes her

Until she is one with light.
Glowing embers and tired eyes,
Bright as the sun,
She smiles

For the monsters have run away,
From her light.
