lifetime

Trying not to die,

Trying not to drown,

Labels weighing me down,

crushing me to the ground,

making my heart pound.

don't hold me in a cage,

don't patch me up and pretend everythings okay,

just  listen to what I have to say,

I know you like everything going your way,

my sickness isn't okay,

i'm not something you can fix,

i'm not just a bad litter in the mix,

i'll be fine, i'll be fine,

cause' i've got the angels on my side,

if heaven's an open door,
i'll pray for a lifetime more,

to grow up and have a life,

children to push on the playground,

children to the merry-go-round,

i'll pray for a lifetime more,

a lifetime more,

i'm feeling a little sore,

I won't die young i've always known that before.
