Life of Nature

Location

You are an egg,
a lifeless egg,
soon to be fertilized into a beautiful human being,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.

You are a fetus,
you grow and grow every day,
soon to bring joy to many people’s lives,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.

You are a child,
you laugh and learn,
soon to become someone great,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.

You are an adolescent,
you dream and hope,
soon to show that you will make something of yourself,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.

You are an adult,
you work hard and love your family,
soon to realize your life is halfway over,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.

You are an elder,
you have retired and spoil your grandchildren,
soon to make a will and look back on your successful life,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.

You are dead,
you no longer breathe in and out,
you have lived and have died,
soon to become one of nature.

You are a tree,
which grew its roots into a lifeless body,
soon to be bountiful with fruit,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.

You are an apple,
which is fresh in fall,
soon to be picked and eaten,
you grow larger and riper,
more red by the day.

You are a woman,
who just picked a big and ripe apple,
soon to conceive,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and you die.

You are an egg,
a lifeless egg,
soon to be fertilized into a beautiful human being,
you breathe in and breathe out,
you live and die.
