A Life of Moving Pictures

A day at the theater
Dad is waiting for me
Popcorn
Tickets
And endless smiles

The movie drags on and on
But I don't mind
Mishaps
Resolutions
And... and...
Tears
Many tears

Why do I cry?
This is the happy ending
But no
Heartache
Sobs
And confused glances
Are all this world grants me

It was because at that moment
In my red movie chair
That I remembered the child
Young
Naive
Sitting to watch the first
Of this series
Dad at my side
Popcorn
Tickets
And endless smiles
All from an age
So close
And yet so far...
