Life In a Letter Scholarship Slam

Dear relationship,

Look.

Just because I was asked out

At the age of

Ten,

Does not mean that I am ready

By the age of

Fifteen.

When I'm in college

I'll be

Twenty.

But isn't that too early, or is it too late?

I'll graduate from college

With a master's degree

Perhaps at age

Twenty-three.

But will I be ready?

When I reach

Twenty-eight,

My family'll be worried

About my virginity.

Heck by the time

Thirty-five

Rolls around

I'll still be single,

All of my friends with husbands

And even kids.

You know,

There was a time where I thought I felt love

But really it was just a guy giving me a shove.

I thought this other lad was the one,

But it turns out he flirts with everyone.

I guess I'm not special.

I guess I'm no flirt.

But single is better

Than getting hurt.

Sincerely,

Hannah, the one without "the one"

P.S.

I wish I could say this nicely

But I'm done with relationships.
