Life In A Box

What is life? What is knowledge?

Is it a life of ignorance and selfishness?

Or maybe,

Just maybe,

 a life meant to explore!

Exploring is stepping out of your box

And finding yourself and always asking why

Dreaming is great

But remember,

A dream is a destination

And

A purpose is a journey!

History is not just the past it is the present

But redefined in the future…

“We learn history so, we don’t repeat it”?

Yet we go year by year looking into a country

Of false hopes and dreams

Dreams that are not easily obtainable

Because of the negative stereotypes society has put on

Minorities

This country is great but how and why?

Better opportunities, yet the remarks that many people say,

Wakes up the subconscious monster

That devours the mind

And paralyzes the potential within you.

We know the history of our past people

But now where do we go from here?

Do we sit back and watch?

Watch as innocent people, get their dignity taken away,

because of their

Skin color, gender, or religion

Or just stand by and watch our people fall

Like rain drops into a puddle of mud

To never be remembered

This moment this time won’t be lived again.

Now it is time to decide

Our next step in life

We engage or live our lives in apathy

Money, power success will only

Last awhile

Knowledge will last until oxygen is no longer available

Whether we like it or not this world will

Continue to evolve,

For better or for worst!
