Life Boat

My hands begin to shakeMy pace begins to race As I peer into the lakeWhere I see my face It's dark and deepFear swims aroundI prepare for an eternal sleepAs it drags me down You stretch out your handGrabbing on tightAs you pull me to landI finally see the light With you by my sideI'm finally ready To step on the rideAs you keep me steady
