A Lie in the Flesh

They told me that I would not pass,

He told me that I would never understand,

She told me that nobody would ever like me,

But look who's wrong;

Today I passed my final exam,

Today I understood what it was like to fall in love,

Today I realized that it was all a lie,

Now look who's right;

Your eyes are blue and shine so bright,

Your hair is blonde and very fine,

Your shape is not my one worry,

But always will I stay steady;

Now in the final hi's and bye's,

In the final begs and pleads,

I will read the final lies;
