A Letter to a Person from my Past

Coming from two different worlds,

meeting in one special place for us,

where everything seemed to come together,

yet eventually we fell apart

Memories come and go

Yet these seem to linger

by staying in my mind,

as if time froze in place

From the start, two strangers with no dangers

First date, one walk with deep talks

Second date, two growing hearts

Third date, three words exchanged

Once strangers, now lovers

And yet day by day,

Who knew where things would go?

As summer came to a close,

school came around

And yet things seemed good between us,

but things are not always what they seem…

Autumn approaches

Leaves falling everywhere

And we were falling too

Like the colors of the leaves,
you changed too

Things were not going back up,

like the leaves that fall from the trees

Then everything became so different for us

At the end, like a dying flower,

the love between us withered to its death,

A heart broke into pieces

Many tears fell and dried itself

And in a matter of time,

two lovers become strangers

But that’s just the way life goes

Paths split, goodbyes exchanged

New paths to take

and new destinations to reach

for the better, for both of us
