A Letter to My Family (Back to School)
I have a question:
Are you proud of me?
I'm in poverty,
But I'm in college and that's where I'm s'pose to be,
Right?
I know it's hard to see, but I feel tragic, we
Don't ever notice things unless we look inside us, see
I'm here with people all around, but me,
I feel like I'm outside society.
Knowledge is being shot through me like a laser beam,
I want to scream,
I can't breathe,
Someone help me please.
If I had a voice, I'd speak,
Tell you everything.
But this is life,
And this is college,
It ain't what it's all cracked up to be.
