LETTER TO KATE

Tue, 08/11/2020 - 12:49 -- Blazze

Dear Kate,

I checked on you, but you weren’t home

I wonder how far the wind has taken you

Are you doing well?

I was elated by my home coming

Mom dropped your messages

But sadly, or much bitterly it seems

How far you have gone from home

I spoke to the sun, maybe your shadow I’d see

I called the moon too, just in case the sun never finds you

I was worried, the darkness that glooms

If this light, ever would suffice…

Just in case you are reading this, please, do reply

I came home, but you I can’t find;

Anyways, how come you left so quickly and left HOPE behind?

I found her on the cushion with so many tears in her eyes

But you knew, you knew you could not do without her

She is grown now, ready for harvest, but you had left her behind

So she asked me to tell you this, “please, come home”

For months you stopped feeding her,

She almost died you know, but for you she survived

I checked your mail box earlier, tons of messages you got

Oh, lest I forget, Miss SUCCESS came around, said you’d been waiting

Mr. Right came in too, apologized for keeping you waiting

He’d been busy, making sure a perfect home for you

“tada, surprised?” he had planned for you

But “nada, surprised?” he got, when he found out you were gone

So far from here, the tide had taken you away

He dropped you a word, if you should come home

He said he would be waiting

Dear Kate, how far away are you?

The flowers and garden you seeded were sprouting now

The bloom of its petals excitedly shinning in the sun

The excitement of the butterflies told me this much

“If you were here, you would have been happy too”

By the way, the butterflies do send their regards

You should have seen the joy you have planted in their eyes

The hope you left behind kept them alive

But there you are, gradually fading away

Patience eluded you

You was tired of waiting

You said heaven wasn’t quick enough

You sought for clue in the wrong places

You left the shawl in which I covered you

You left behind all that was good and sweet

But, how far away are you?

I brought home the basket you asked for

The fruits of love, joy and happiness you’ve been searching for

Oh, I didn’t forget your silent prayers too; I made sure nothing was missing

I tried to come earlier but you weren’t ready

Your heart was broken, worried, you needed fixing

So I took time out trying to heal you

But how quickly you gave up, you let FAITH drizzle away

Your Angel was here, but you were gone

Though physically present, but a thousand miles away

Away from the savior you’ve been waiting for

If you decide to come home soon

Please write me, I will be waiting

                                                                                                                                                Yours lovingly,

                                                                                                                                                Savior
