Let it be ...

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

11 And in this regard we pray for you always, that our God will make you worthy of His calling and fulfill by His power your every desire for goodness and every work of faith, 12 that The Name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to The Grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

One Never Knows

Going to bed feeling tired

Ready for a rest of a lifetime

The body has given up most energy

In the busyness of the day

Running out of fire

Of the mental and the grime*

That takes environment’s synergy*

To an oft sung refrain

Moving in a dimension

Set aside for all that are sleeping

Body and mind unaware

Where the spirit is residing

But suddenly there is tension

As a stomach ache is creeping

As sweat then in layers

Pours out the pores confiding

That rest has no guarantee

And the body its own dimension

One moment all feels good

And the next day it falls apart

In search then for a remedy

To release all that tension

And that discomfort’s mood

Does not overtake the heart

A sudden quick whisper

To the Maker of it all

It seems that even flesh obeys

To the longings of His Heart

Gain and its mischief

Seems to disappear after all

And put dark thoughts away

To give me a new start

A little cup of milk

Hot and prepared for me

Helps to sort the answer

Of a stomach in despair

Like a shirt of silk

Smooth as it can be

My body rests in senses

That the Lord is more than fair
