The least among us
Hard fought battles bloodied me
but now before you here I stand
Not as the man I used to be
before I went to foreign lands
This flag reflects the sacrifice
of all the brothers we have lost
Who's bodies lie beyond the hill
who turned the war but paid the cost
And now you sit here all polite
expecting me to do the same
While those returning from the fight
will live out life as blind or maimed
So write your stories as you want
but don't expect much help from me
For the least among the men who fought
are twice the man you'll ever be
