Leaflets and Other

Literature

Lit the fire under her.

Starting her days

Under early morning rays,

She reads a quote, word, or poem,

Now the world is hers to join.

An expression of fear, inspiration, or will,

Allows her thoughts and feelings to spill.

Hindered by depression,

She won’t allow her mind to be her oppression.

Writing, reading, listening, the world glistening.

King, Miranda, Poe, and Rowling.

All the greats have left one single space

For her to race and earn her place.

This dream is why her smile gleams

Until the day her talent bursts at the seam.

This poem is about:
Me
Our world
