Laura's Sonnet

The story of how I met her is strange,
Though the outcome is undoubtedly grand.
She is a smart one, that will not ever change
And her beauty is greater than Tut's sand.

Back to the story-It was a cold day,
The cold struck my heart, until I saw her.
I grew warm as if she was a sun’s ray;
She was the one for me, no buts or ors.

But, an issue had become apparent.
While she liked me, her heart was divided.
No, it was not her love for a parent,
but love for another she confided.

We forged through her insidious feelings,
Our love now pure, higher than all ceilings.
