Laugh It Off

You’d never guess

what she went through

You let her laugh it off

you'd never know

that every day to breathe

is a battle

and a war

you let her laugh it off

you’ll never know

what hides behind

that beautiful smile

because

you didn’t take the time

to see

how many times

with her smile break

Before you see

the tears in her eyes

how many extra miles

will she go

just to get by

you never see

the pretty little lines

so straight and clean

you’d never notice

the pain in her eyes

because shell smile

and you’ll Let her laugh it off

You stood so blind

To every time

she tried

to reach out for you

how many times

will her small break

before you see

the tears in her eyes

how many extra miles

will she go

just to get by

You can’t see

what you’re looking for

when you’re blind

you can’t listen

when you don’t

want to hear

you turned your back

on her smile

you want blind

when she stood

in front of you

you never heard her

screaming for you

you let her laugh it off

how many times will she break

before you see

her pain

how far will she go

to find someone to stop her

every day shed scream

“someone

please save me

from this life

I don’t want to hurt

anymore

can you hear me

are you listening

can you see me

will you look

I don’t want to

smile

anymore

someone

anyone

save me

from myself”

And you sit

and wonder why

she isn’t smiling

anymore

why you can’t see

the pain

on her face

and she lies so still

on her bed

not hearing your screams

she’s not laughing anymore
