Last Year

Last year, I was shorter

Last year, I was a year younger

Last year, my hair was shorter

Last year, I wasn't where I am now

Last year, someone was in jail

Last year, I was struggling

Last year, my family was put on hold

Last year, I wasn't where I am now

Last year, Flint got an emergency shut down

Last year, I was mad at the leaders of my state

Last year, a story hit close to home

Last year, I wasn't where I am now

Last year, I was amazed by the presidential canidates

Last year, my mind was blown

Last year, I wanted to yell at the leaders of this country

Last year, I wasn't where I am now

Last year, I celebrated a women on the $20 bill

Last year, I was elated

Last year, women commemerated this event

Last year, I wasn't where I am now

Last year, I wept the death of 50 people in Orlando

Last year, I questioned the leaders of the United Kingdom

Last year, I wept the death of 84 people in Bastille

Last year, I wasn't where I am now

Last year, I cried at the Republican nominee

Last year, I avidly watched the summer Olymics

Last year, I admired the sainting of a great women

Last year...

Last year, I was devisated at the winner of the presidential election

Last year, I gave a speech to my graduating class

Last year, I was angered by the man who got off for sexual assult because of sports

Last year...

...was last year

Time to move on

Time to fix mistakes

Time to learn

Time to improve

Time to focus

Time to...

...be in the moment, the year, the second, the hour.
