The last ... again

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding.
6 Acknowledge Him in all your ways,
and He will make your paths straight.

Where do we go from here my brother?

Just let it be and I will not bother

Why go and walk in the same direction

If our points of view have no intersection

You’ll go your way in your chosen race

And I will rest flat on my face

You will get quickly to your finish line

As you draw it in sand so you’ll be fine

As for me I’ll keep on crawling

And listen to one’s like me a bawling

Maybe it is like music in my ears

As I am needed right down here

The race goes on without much meaning

In the stands there is all the screaming

Participants run for the admiration of man

While I’m up in the stands with kids in hand

You give it all to get the trophy

I am just here encouraged and moping

Not too long from now the end of the race

That you will win with me in last place
