At Last

When wedding bells meet stained glass mirrors
At a Cathedral on 76th and Lex
We'll have known the time has come
Heart beats pounding against Vera Wang lace and Roberto Cavalli suits
In the mist of excitement from future brother-in-laws and close friends since the 5th grade
It's all or nothing
Bouquets of white lily
Flower girls complaining of how their dresses make them itchy
The high school rival jealous with envy
"It should've been me"
A glass of champagne to calm the nerves of an anxious wife
Or cover the shame of a guilty groom
Last night was the Last time...
For big booty strippers and crumbled up dollar bills
Here's a tip to the bride
And a toast to the groom
Bless the ones that jump this broom
And good luck staying together after visiting the clinic soon

This was a great poem, because you did not tell it from only one perspective, but instead you interpreted what the feelings of each individual would be in this given situation, which is an excellent writing skill to have.
