Lacking luster

Location

There is a fire smoldering inside as I desire,

I want you like a new pair of shoes,

On the first day of school that my mom just won’t buy,

But as I imply that you’d be the best buy and I cannot reside without you,

I realize the shoes,

Lacking luster,

The patent leather may get scuffed and the white soles will never remain,

The shoe strings are an odd material,

But yet I still desire you.
