Knowing What We Shouldn't Know

We want to know so much

But are we prepared

To know our bad luck

We want to know who we are

But are we prepared

To know that we may not be the star

We want to know our feelings

But are we prepared

To know the meanings or reasonings

We want to know our future

But are we prepared

To know if it's not with her

We want to know our family

But are we prepared

To know what lies beneath our genes

We want to know our thoughts

But are we prepared

To know how much it'll cost

We want to know who we'll marry

But are we prepared

To know our reality

We want to know so much

But with our bad luck

Will we ever be prepared

For how much it may cost us

Knowing what we shouldn't know
