The Knight in Shining Armor

The Knight in Shining Armor

There once was a lonely young man,

Who was often seen with a cigarette and beer can

He longed for a companion, a woman to love

He was kind and as gentle as a dove

He set his sights on particular lasses,

Who were never without some kind of booze in their glasses

Their spirits were broken from relations of past,

But a knight in shining armor had now come at last!

He would wine them and dine them as a gentleman should,

And they would accept it and use it as most selfish ones would!

His heart growing fonder with each happy date,

He never saw it coming until it was too late.

The alcohol and drugs would hide their deceit,

Until it was too late and the knight was faced with defeat.

Heartbroken and saddened the knight fell into gloom,

Until the next drunken damsel entered the room.

Again he would shower her with attention and care,

In hopes that true love would soon fill the air.

The knight never gave up though his heart continued to break

And the abuse .....the damsels continued to take.

Too many attempts at a rescue the knight had tried

Until sadly enough the knight had died.

His kindness and joy were things of beauty,

Traits he displayed with pride and duty.

The knight was a beauty who tried to save all the beasts,

Who realized too late that the kindness had ceased.

The knight is now remembered as a beautiful soul,

Who wanted nothing more than to fulfill his knight’s role.
