The King

A king once sat upon his throne
And made such choice to be alone
For fear of love turned, taking ill
But this choice strained beneath his will
His loneliness forced silent moan
And thieving love ripped heart from bone
Then to the shadows she did steal
But had the love been false or real
No it be taken yet not earned
Never such thief will return
