Keys

Revelation 1:17-18 New English Translation (NET Bible)17 When I saw Him I fell down at His feet as though I were dead, but He placed His right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid!I am the first and the last, 18 and the One who lives! I was dead, but look, now I am aliveforever and ever—and I hold the keys of death and of Hades! Keys

In the bible it is written

that the keys to Heaven and hell

are to be used by the Keeper

at a time only He can tell.

Keys are used in different manners.

Can they unlock doors to the heart?

Are there locks on death’s casket

to be locked in before we part?

Who can unlock the deprived condition

and open the lid where dark resides?

So that light that’s everlasting,

lifts you up to change inside.

In the city of my longings

is a Watchman at the gate.

He hollers: “There is someone coming”

He is just in time and not too late.

Tell the Master who is here.

Tell Him he found the key of Life.

He is our brother near and dear

fatigued and worn … through obedient life.
