Just a peek

Ecclesiastes 3:15

15 Whatever exists now has already been, and whatever will be has already been;
for God will seek to do again what has occurred in the past.

Peeking in the past

What a comfort, what a life ... where is appreciation?

Why so much unhappiness? Why this self-induction?

Searching blessings in just deserve... seeking deep in darkness

It is amazing and self-imposed this constant self-destruction

Dreams are built on yesterdays ... hope forgets tomorrow

Today a fading entity in search of an illusion

All appears a story ... the things we should have learned

Repeating history in our constant state of confusion?

Prosperity gained and values lost on a landscape framed by fear

Abstaining from the plenty that thro lack of will we shove aside

Self-preservation now at any cost in fake mortal squeeze

Living in a frenzy that seems to offer a free ride

Joined in a dungeon by the faceless many

All their discarded entities gathered in a stream

Running towards a swelling pond of accumulated waste

that now reaches up to the neck muffling final screams

Depravity now fully exposed ... manure a welcome sight

How deep can one sink in this bottomless pit?

No struggles here are seen ... gone the will to fight

Unless it is with others who seem to get the best of it
